WORKSHOPS

Digital Storytelling for Impact and Dissemination – Sharing your Project’s Story

Mezzanine (the main room)

Do you struggle to portray the benefits of a project?

Dissemination doesn’t need to be boring! This workshop will give an overview of the basic principles of digital storytelling and demonstrate how this participatory method can be used to share details and impact of your project in an engaging and meaningful way.

Key audience:  This workshop is relevant to anyone looking to improve their project dissemination, or to enhance their understanding of digital storytelling more generally.  It is relevant to the fields of Adult Education, School Education, Vocational Education and Training, Youth, Sport, Volunteering, and Higher Education.

Fostering Participation Amongst Young People:
showcasing the Erasmus+ participation priority and Youth Wiki

Nally suite (this floor)

Did you know that Participation is a priority within Erasmus+?

This workshop will look at ways to foster participation amongst young people.

It will give real life examples of how national and EU structures, such as Erasmus+, can be used to support and facilitating participation.

Key audience:  This workshop is most relevant to those working in the fields of youth or schools. It may also be relevant to integrate into Higher Education projects (although this workshop will not discuss the details of Erasmus in Higher Education).

Recognition of Non-Formal Learning
(Skills Summary / Youthpass)

 Interconnecting suite (Upstairs)

While many of us are aware of the importance of recognising non-formal & informal learning, finding the appropriate ways to document it can sometimes be challenging. This workshop will introduce two tools to help – Skills Summary and Youthpass.

Skills Summary provides a measurement framework for young people, youth workers and educators in the Republic of Ireland. It is a partnership project between the National Youth Council of Ireland, SpunOut.ie, and Accenture. It is funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and recognised as a measurement tool in the Youth Employability Initiative.

Youthpass is a European recognition instrument for identifying and documenting learning outcomes that are acquired in projects under the Erasmus+ Youth and the European Solidarity Corps programmes.

Key audience:  This workshop is most relevant to those working in the fields of youth or volunteering, and educators working with young people.

Schools and Vocational Education - How Erasmus+ can support organisational strategy

 Interconnecting suite (Upstairs)

This workshop will look at how Erasmus+ can linked in with, and support, schools’ and organisations’ strategies and goals.

Léargas staff will provide a very brief overview of what KA1 and KA2 projects are and discuss on linking these projects in with organisations’ strategies and goals.

Gerald Brennan (European Engagement Coordinator for Cork ETB) will present on his own experience of using Erasmus+ to support ETB strategy.

Key audience:  This workshop is most relevant to those working in the fields of schools, vocational education and training, and adult learning.  It may also be useful for any other organisation looking to use Erasmus+ to support their strategy.

Where do I fit? A guide for newcomers across all fields of Erasmus+

 Davin suite (this floor)

Have you recently started working for an organisation that undertakes Erasmus+ projects? Or is your organisation thinking of doing an Erasmus+ project for the first time? If so, this workshop is for you!

This workshop will help you to discover which type(s) of Erasmus+ are relevant to your organsiation. You will also have the opportunity to ask Léargas staff your burning questions about Erasmus+.

Key audience:  This workshop is relevant to any individuals / organisations which are new to Erasmus+. It is relevant to the fields of Adult Education, School Education, Vocational Education and Training, Youth and Sport.
